Located in the Midwest of Africa, adjacent to Chad in the east, bordering on Mali and Burkina Faso in the west, neighboring Benin and Nigeria in the south, and adjoining Algeria and Libya in the north, Niger is the largest country in West Africa with a territorial area of 1.267 million km2. As the inland country on the southern margin of Sahara, most part of the country belongs to Sahara.
