The Democratic Republic of Congo, CONGO(K) for short, is located in the Midwest of Africa. It is adjacent to CONGO (B) to the northwest, Central African Republic and Sudan to the north, Uganda , Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania to the east, and Zambia and Angola to the south. It has very short coastlines, through which Zaire River (Congo River) flows into the Atlantic. It covers an area of 2 345 000 square kilometers and has a population of 49 200 000, while the equator runs through its central-north. Kinshasa, capital of CONGO(K), has a population of 5 020 000, making it the largest city of Central Africa.

At present, hundreds of ATMs within Democratic Republic of Congo can accept CUP cards to withdraw local currency or US dollars.
The CUP card cannot be used for bank transfer and money withdrawal at the bank counter abroad.

Some ATMs are installed with both Chinese and English interfaces and cardholders can choose from the two languages.
Cash Withdrawal Procedure
Most ATMs will first send out cashes and then exit cards. Cardholders shall follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
Charge and Limit on Withdrawal
According to the provisions of the state’s supervisory authority, during the withdrawal of cash with CUP cards on ATMs overseas, the accumulative withdrawal per card each day of CUP debit cards shall not exceed the equivalent foreign currency of RMB 10,000 Yuan.
Issuing banks will charge certain procedure fees for overseas cash withdrawal. Please inquire the issuing bank for specific rates, withdrawal frequency in a single day, withdrawal limit each time and accumulative withdrawal limit.
Compared with the networks of other bank cards, 1% to 2% of currency conversion fee is exempted when CUP network is used for consumption. The consumed sum of local currency will be directly converted into RMB at the market exchange rate and will be timely booked into the RMB account of the cardholder by the issuing bank.
