Located in the south central part of West Africa, Benin is a tropical climate country with an area of around 112,000 km2. Adjacent to Nigeria in the east, bordering on Burkina Faso and Niger in the northwest and northeast, neighboring Togo in the west and close to the Atlantic Ocean in the south, Benin has a coastline of 125 km. Coastal plain of the country belongs to tropical rainforest climate with a year-round temperature between 20-34℃ and up to 42℃; central and northern part of the country belongs to savanna climate with an annual average temperature of 26-27℃.

Togo has a population of 6.60 million, and French is the official language. Porto-Novo is capital of the country, with French as the official language as well. 65% of the population believes in traditional religion, 15% believes in Islam, and around 20% believes in Christian.

Agriculture and entrepot trade are two pillars of the national economy. In recent years, the government also continuously increases its input in tourism industry. The major tourist destinations include Ganvie Water Village, the Ancient City of Ouidah, Ouidah Museum of History, the Ancient Capital of Abomey, safari park, Ewe Tourist Park, beach, etc.
